Frikkie Welsh cancelled out the home side's penalty try, and Ollie Barkley's kicks gave Bath a half-time advantage. Ospreys then looked on course for their first win in the Cup as Matthew Jones' converted try put them 20-13 ahead. But Bath hit back with an Andy Williams try, a Chris Malone drop-goal and another two Barkley penalties. Ospreys number eight Ryan Jones went off at half-time after suffering another shoulder injury, but it is not thought to be serious. The Welsh international was making first appearance since the Lions tour. Bath's former Ospreys scrum-half Andy Williams: "It was tremendous to come back here and get a score. The try was the icing on the cake, it gave me special satisfaction. "I had a really enjoyable time at the Ospreys, but I'm a Bath player now and it was great to get the win." Ospreys coach Lyn Jones: "We are improving. At times we played some really good rugby, but we also made a number of silly errors. "Bath were efficient. They had a good lineout and a fine kicking game. Unfortunately for us, we failed to take our chances."
