Ford has been suspended for eight days |
Border Reivers hooker Ross Ford has been suspended for eight days after pleading guilty to a charge of foul play during a game with Northampton. The 22-year-old was cited by commissioner Denis Templeton for punching during the Heineken Cup game at Franklin's Gardens on 28 October.
Ford was suspended by his club pending the outcome of the hearing.
Northampton prop Chris Budgen escaped punishment for a stamping offence in the same match.
Budgen is available for Saturday's Premiership clash with Worcester after the disciplinary hearing in Dublin found the player guilty of the offence but deemed it did not warrant a red card.
