Matt Mullan has ended speculation about his future by pledging to honour the two-year deal he signed with the Worcester Warriors in 2009.

The 23-year-old admits there was interest from other clubs but insists he never had any intention of leaving.

Mullan said: "I'm looking forward to next season and our bid to make an immediate return to the Premiership.

"I've come through the ranks at Warriors and remain totally committed to bringing success to Sixways."

Mullan came up through the Warriors academy system and has made 65 first-team appearances for the club.

He made his senior England debut against Italy in last season's Six Nations Championship.

After the club's relegation from the Guinness Premiership there had been rumours that Mullan would want to leave.

"Having spoken to [head coach] Richard Hill I'm excited about being part of the squad that not only brings us back up but sets new standards," he added.

"He is a vastly-experienced and highly-qualified coach who I believe will instil a fresh approach and a winning culture and ambition.

"With the backing of our chairman Cecil Duckworth, I'm confident that Sixways will be a very positive and rewarding place to play my rugby next season."
