Ripol scored 15 tries in 41 appearances for Saints before joining Sale |
Worcester Warriors have signed former Sale Sharks winger Oriol Ripol on a one-year deal. Ripol is the best known player to emerge from Spain, and also played for Rotherham and Northampton before joining the Sharks in 2005. Warriors head coach Richard Hill said: "I want the squad here to be full of talented players who really want to be pulling on the jersey for Warriors. "Oriol is exactly that type of person, he will give absolutely everything." Hill added: "Oriol has great experience from his time in the top flight with Sale Sharks and is a proven finisher at the highest level. "He has a great step, offers real pace and is always in the right place at the right time." Ripol, who played 12 times for the Sharks last season, is determined to make an impact at Sixways. "I am absolutely delighted to sign for Worcester, and cannot wait to start," he said. "I'm excited about the chance to work with Richard Hill, who I have heard so much about, and also play at a club with such great facilities and wonderful support. "The Championship will be a very hard test and difficult. But I am sure that Worcester is building a squad to win promotion and I intend to play a big part in that bid."
