Worcester Warriors have signed former Bath and Bristol centre Alex Crockett and Oxford University tight-head prop Oliver Tomaszczyk on two-year deals.

Crockett, 28, returned in March after a nine-month ban for missing drugs tests.

"I am delighted that Alex is joining us as he brings great leadership skills," said new coach Richard Hill.

"Oliver Tomaszczyk attracted a lot of interest from other clubs including Munster and so we are delighted he has chosen the Warriors."

Crockett made 125 appearances for Bath, scoring 21 tries, while he was also joint-captain for the 2008-09 season.

He has played for his country at Under-21 and Saxons level.

He joined Bristol on a short-term deal in January and says he is relishing the challenge of moving to the Sixways club, who were relegated from the Premiership at the end of the season.

I have also been impressed that Oliver has gone off to play in Argentina as part of his personal and academic development

"I am thrilled about the opportunity that lies ahead with Worcester Warriors as this is an exiting time for myself and the club," he said.

"I am looking forward to working with my new team-mates and coaching staff and getting the Warriors back where they belong."

Former Newcastle Falcons youngster Tomaszczyk was previously part of the England Under-18 squad and also played for Argentine Division One side Lomas Athletic in 2006.

"Oliver comes to us with a very good pedigree," said Hill. "Over the last few years he's dedicated himself to his studies at Oxford University, culminating in his appearance in the Varsity match, in which he was outstanding.

"I know the Oxford University coach Steve Hill very well as we coached the England Students together and he has excellent judgment.

"I have also been impressed that Oliver has gone off to play in Argentina as part of his personal and academic development.

"I'm sure that experience of scrummaging in Argentina will help him develop even more quickly."
