Cameron hit an unbeaten 51 against Yorkshire in the FP t20 |
Worcestershire's Zimbabwe-born all-rounder James Cameron says he is enjoying playing at New Road and wants to improve on on his early success. Cameron was the man of the match in the FP t20 win over Yorkshire on Friday. The former Zimbabwe Under-19 player told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "Everyone at the club has been very good to me and I've settled in well. "It is just a question of doing as well as I can and getting into the team for all types of cricket." Cameron was spotted by Worcestershire pace-man Matt Mason playing club cricket in Western Australia, and has an English passport through his parents. Worcestershire's opening win in the FP t20 was tempered a little by their game at Durham being rained off, but Cameron says they have to try and build on Friday's success. | It's a great atmosphere at New Road, the support is always very good |
"That is down to confidence and you learn how to win, and you hear people talk about winning when we are not playing that well," he said. "We are not going to win all our group games but we have to build our confidence and take that into each game. With limited overs games, momentum is such a big thing. "It's a great atmosphere at New Road, the support is always very good, and that is one thing I have really enjoyed about being here. "They get behind you and they enjoy their cricket and it is a lovely place to come and play cricket."
