Ruddock has spent three years in charge at Sixways |
Worcester Warriors director of rugby Mike Ruddock has defended his coaching staff after criticism from fans of recent Premiership performances. The Warriors are three points adrift at the bottom with only three games left. Ruddock told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "I think they are good coaches, and it's a coaching panel that will grow and develop and only get stronger. "I like to think that after 20 years of coaching I am able to input something of value to the coaches and the team." He continued: "A lot of it comes down to our executions, we are creating opportunities. | To move on and and grow as a team, you have to be able to play both types of rugby Worcester Warriors director of rugby Mike Ruddock |
"I could take you down to our analysis room now and set up how many times we have created scoring situations but not put them away. "A few years ago the team were more focused on the forward battle and that served the team well and I am not knocking it. "But to move on and and grow as a team, you have to be able to play both types of rugby. "We have made great strides in that regard, what we have not done is finished things off at times." Worcester Warriors take on London Wasps at Sixways on Saturday (1500 BST) and there will be full commentary on BBC Hereford & Worcester on 104 FM and online.
