Rhodes celebrated Worcestershire's first championship win since 2008. |
Director of cricket Steve Rhodes praised Worcestershire's team spirit after their victory against Middlesex. A four-wicket haul from Alan Richardson during Middlesex's second innings helped Worcester to a 111-run win. Rhodes told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "I enjoy when there are people on the sidelines who are not involved but support their team-mates. "Imran Arif celebrated every wicket we took against Middlesex and he was not even involved." He added: "He wants to be in the team, he wants a place, but he is happy to get behind his team mates." Rhodes also praised the contribution of Richard Jones who took eight wickets in the match. "He did really well in this game, he has got stronger," he said. "He is better for time with the England Development Squad. He has worked really hard this winter and I am delighted for him. "
