Arr has started in two European ties for Warriors this season. |
Worcester's young scrum-half Jonny Arr is set to make his first Premiership start of the season when the Warriors visit London Irish on Saturday. Wales international Ryan Powell has been ruled out with a rib injury and Warriors director of rugby Mike Ruddock has no qualms about Arr, 21, starting. "Jonny is a good little player who shows a lot of composure and skill," Ruddock told BBC Hereford & Worcester. "He did really well when he came on against Bath." Arr has played in 32 games for the Warriors but has only started three of them. But Ruddock insists the local boy can do the job. "Jonny looked very assured against Bath," he said. "One piece of skill comes to mind when he kicked just down the blindside. "Had it rolled to touch five minutes from time and very close to their line, it could have been a significant moment." There will be full commentary on London Irish against Worcester Warriors on BBC Hereford & Worcester on Saturday, 5 December on 104 FM and online.
