Talei has played 18 times for Fiji.

Worcester Warriors will be without back row Netani Talei next month after he was called up by Fiji for their European tour.

The tourists play Scotland on Saturday, 14 November, Ireland on 21 November and Romania on 28 November.

With regular number eight Kai Hortsman out with a rib injury, Talei's absence could see Jake Abbott promoted to Warriors' first XV.

Abbott scored a hat-trick of tries for the A team against Leicester this week.

Director of rugby Mike Ruddock said: "This could open up a number of opportunities for young players like Jake, James Collins and Matt Cox.

"We also have a number of exciting youngsters with players like James Freeman, who has already played a part in our pre-season fixtures, as well as Dave Askew who has impressed whenever he has been on the field for the A team. "
