Baker red turned Cup tie - Yates

Lee Baker
Baker is the third Harriers player sent off in four games

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates blamed defender Lee Baker's red card for Harriers' 3-1 FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay defeat at Fleetwood.

Baker was dismissed for a rash tackle and the hosts romped it through Gareth Seddon's brace and a Nathan Pond header before Gavin Caines' consolation.

Yates told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "It was the turning point in the game, it was stupidity from Lee Baker.

"He was favourite to win the ball but went over the top. It was a clear red."

"Fleetwood are a good side, they threw everything at us and we did well until the second goal went in.

I was disappointed with a couple of players and I will not name them but in the dressing room they know who they are

"But then heads dropped and we realised the enormity of the task.

"Gavin Caines was excellent at the back and we worked hard, but we lost the game.

"I was disappointed with a couple of players and I will not name them but in the dressing room they know who they are.

"I have now lost Lee Baker for three games, and we already have a paper-thin squad."

Fleetwood will be away to Northampton Town in the first round proper on 7 or 8 November.
