Worcester Warriors prop Darren Morris has left the club by mutual consent after being released from his contract.

The former Wales international was contracted until May 2010 but has left Sixways after making 64 appearances since joining from Leicester in 2006.

"I've had a very enjoyable three years at Sixways Stadium and I leave with many happy memories," Morris said.

Warriors signed Adam Black from Newport last month and are looking to further strengthen their front row.

Director of rugby Mike Ruddock praised the contribution of the former British and Irish Lions player.

"His ability to play both sides of the scrum has been advantageous," he said.
