Morris leads Warriors in friendly

Darren Morris is pushing for a Premiership start

Former Wales international prop Darren Morris will captain Worcester Warriors as they complete the pre-season campaign at Cambridge on Saturday.

Morris leads a young side, with Lokie Crighton in the centre and Joe Carlisle at fly-half.

Boss Mike Ruddock told BBC Hereford and Worcester he may have a few selection headaches for the start of the season.

"We have real competition for places in every position and the front row in particular is very competitive."

"I have a squad of 25 that I'm looking to pick from, but I'll go to Cambridge and have a look at that, as some of them may force their way into the side," he added.

"We're looking to complete our pre-season programme with another victory, and keep the pressure on the rest of the squad for places in the starting line-up against Northampton Saints."
