Sanderson joined Worcester from Harlequins in 2004 |
Worcester skipper Pat Sanderson has committed his future to the club - even if the Warriors are relegated from the Premiership this season. The Warriors are six points adrift at the bottom of the table but Sanderson, who was dropped from the England squad this week, says he is going nowhere.
"I want to be here for my playing future - irrespective of what happens," said the 29-year-old back-rower.
"I love this club and everyone in the dressing room feels the same."
Worcester gave themselves a lifeline last weekend with a crucial victory over relegation rivals Northampton at Franklin's Gardens.
And Sanderson says the atmosphere in the dressing room gives him real hope that Worcester can remain in the Premiership for a fourth straight season.

"We've got a huge spirit here, we're a very, very tight team," he added.
"Generally, in these circumstances, that's extraordinary. A lot of teams would have split apart.
"I'm very proud of the guys. We spend a lot of time together and enjoy each other's company. Those are the qualities that will pull us through.
"We're in a lot of trouble but we're starting to believe that we're capable of getting ourselves out of it.
"We feel part of the Premiership and we want to stay here. But one of the things that's fantastic about this club is that no-one here wants to go."
Sanderson, who skippered England during the summer in the absence of Martin Corry, played all of the autumn internationals against New Zealand, Argentina and South Africa (twice) last autumn.
But Sanderson was demoted to the Saxons squad this week as new head coach Brian Ashton named his 33-man party for the Six Nations.
Worcester continue their survival battle against Wasps at Adams Park on Sunday.
