Ulster Ravens qualified for the British and Irish Cup semi-final by trouncing a dismal Aberavon outfit at Ravenhill on Friday night. The home side led 31-0 at half-time and added exactly the same amount of points in the second half. Ian Whitten, Declan Fitzpatrick, Robbie Diack, fit-again Bryn Cunningham and Cillian Willis scored first-half tries. Tommy Seymour (two), Michael Allen, Mark McCrea and replacement Ian Humphreys added second-half touchdowns. Fly-half Niall O'Connor converted six of the tries. Cunningham was making his return to action after a lengthy absence because of a hamstring injury.
