Dan Tuohy scored Ulster's second try in the cup encounter |
Ulster Ravens made it two wins from two British and Irish Cup games with this victory at Billesley Common. The visitors dominated the first half and tries from Tommy Seymour, Dan Tuohy and Adam Macklin helped Ulster to a 22-0 lead at half-time. John May went over for Moseley before Neil McComb charged down a kick and touched down to secure the bonus point. Moseley finished strongly but Nathan Blessington's try and a penalty try were not enough for the hosts. Seymour dotted down after just two minutes with Tuohy adding the second try three minutes later. Moseley's Rupert Harden was yellow carded after 24 minutes for hands in the ruck and Niall O'Connor fired over from the resulting penalty. The Ravens turned down kickable penalties as they went in search for tries and Macklin drove over in the 31st minute. May charged down Ian Whitten's kick before scoring Moseley's first try three minutes into the second half. A penalty from O'Connor made it 25-7 and McComb extended the advantage in the 62nd minute with his bonus-point try. Blessington sprinted over in the corner five minutes later and the penalty try was awarded on 75 minutes after a series of scrum infringements.
