Nieto has played for Gloucester and Viadana, and been capped by Italy

Saracens tight-head prop Carlos Nieto faces a long lay-off after sustaining injuries including a broken leg in the win over Worcester on Saturday.

The Argentina-born Italy international suffered a fractured fibula, dislocated ankle and ruptured ankle ligaments.

Nieto had an operation on Sunday and will miss the rest of the season.

Director of rugby Brendan Venter said: "This is disappointing news for us all, but we will look after Carlos and his family over the coming months."

The former Gloucester player joined Saracens in 2009.
