Sale Sharks have signed 21-year-old winger David Doherty from Wasps on a two-year contract.

Sharks' director of rugby Philippe Saint-Andre told the club's website: "He is a young player and he has plenty of potential.

"He made his mark at Leeds and has played in some big games for Wasps this season," he added.

"I am sure he will fit in with us at Sale Sharks and we look forward to his arrival at pre season training."
