Sorenson has made 20 appearances for Saints this season |
Northampton forward Mark Sorenson says that the next two fixtures will determine the course of their season. The Saints have gone down to five successive Premiership defeats to slip to fifth in the table, one point off the play-off places. They now face trips to Exeter Chiefs and Leeds in their next two games. Sorenson told BBC Radio Northampton: "There's a quiet resolve to put things right. These two weeks become very important in the shape of our season." He added: "It's two tough away games, and a chance for us to resurrect our season. Last season's Premiership semi-finalists have fallen from the top of the Premiership with defeats by Harlequins, Leicester Tigers, Saracens, Bath and Gloucester. "It falls on the players to do the hard work in the week, then bring a performance come the weekend," said Sorenson. "We need to keep at it and keep belief and get our confidence right up there again."
