Mallinder has watched Saints score 24 tries in 11 Premiership matches |
Northampton Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder says they must not rest on their laurels after a strong 2009. Saints won the Challenge Cup against Bourgoin in May and lie third in the Guinness Premiership this season. Mallinder told BBC Radio Northampton: "We had a great finish last season and to win a competition was magic. It was a good year. "It's down to experience, and we recruited good players. But we can't let it go to our heads." Having only won once away from home in last season's Guinness Premiership, Saints picked up their third victory on the road during the current campaign against Worcester on Saturday. "We talked about wanting to improve our league form," Mallinder added. "We knew we'd need to win games away from home. We've easily bettered last season there."
