Northampton Saints' Ben Foden says that the Heineken Cup will be a great stage to perform against Europe's best.
Saints face Munster on Saturday evening - a replay of the 2000 final which Saints won 9-8.
Foden told BBC Radio Northampton: "Every game comes with pressure, but now in the Heineken Cup, it doubles.
"I feel like I'm doing well, but there's still more to come from me. I want to make it hard for Martin Johnson not to select me [for England]."
The 24-year-old is tipped to replace the injured Delon Armitage for England's autumn internationals, having impressed at the start of the season for Saints.
"My focus this week is Munster, but like any [English] player, I want to play for my country and run out in the white shirt."
Shane Geraghty is another Saints player being linked with the internationals against Australia, Argentina, and New Zealand next month.
Foden added: "It's brilliant playing with the quality of Shane. The longer I play with him, the more I can read him. He's very good at opening up gaps and putting players through them."
