Clarke proud of Saints resilience

Clarke scored 25 points for Saints last season

Northampton Saints' Jon Clarke believes that the side will take confidence from their fight-back against Worcester.

Saints came from 17-0 down in the opening half hour to win 20-17.

The 25-year-old centre told BBC Radio Northampton: "There were a few nerves, and we had to claw ourselves back in to the game.

"We can't make the same mistakes against Saracens. But we're happy, there's not too many teams that'll come from 17-0 down to win."

Saints next travel to Wembley to play Saracens on Saturday. Clarke says that the side are treating this season as a fresh start to improve on their away form.

"Technically [Wembley] isn't Saracens' home either. So there's potential for both teams to take time to get into it, and we've got to take advantage of that," he added.
