Reihana's late try helped his side to a Premiership bonus point |
Northampton captain Bruce Reihana has welcomed his return to form following Saturday's bonus-point win over Gloucester in the Guinness Premiership. Reihana scored one of the Saints' four tries in a 40-22 triumph at Franklin's Gardens for their eighth home victory of the league campaign. "It's been a bit of a roller-coaster ride with some big ups and downs," he told BBC Radio Northampton. "But it shows you can never count yourself out," he added. Reihana was named man of the match ahead of winger Paul Diggin, who crossed the line twice for Northampton, and fly-half Stephen Myler with four penalties and two conversions to his credit. "It's a long season and you have to keep working hard, because every week you get a chance to prove yourself. "That's what I'm always trying to do - and trying to earn my right to wear the jersey." Saints now switch their attention to this weekend's European Challenge Cup quarter-final, which sees them play host to the Irish side Connacht on Saturday.
