French move not for me - Reihana

Bruce Reihana
Reihana says he wants to retire as a Northampton player

Northampton captain Bruce Reihana has insisted he is unlikely to join the exodus of players from the Guinness Premiership to French clubs.

The Saints face a Sunday trip to Wasps, who confirmed this week that three leading members of their squad are heading for France later this year.

"It's going to take a lot to move me," Reihana told BBC Radio Northampton.

"If there's a blank cheque, who knows? But this is my home now and I'm a very loyal man," he added.

The 32-year-old New Zealander joined Northampton in 2002 and is currently in his fourth season as skipper at Franklin's Gardens.

"You don't become captain just by turning up.

"I take nothing for granted, I like to earn my jersey and I'd like to finish my career here."
