Mallinder is confident his partnership with Dorian West will continue

Northampton Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder has said he is confident coach Dorian West will stay.

West has been linked with a possible role in the England coaching team ahead of their tour of Argentina.

England manager Martin Johnson is looking to fill the scrummaging coach position temporarily vacated by Graham Rowntree, who is now with the Lions.

Mallinder told BBC Northampton: "He is working hard with the team and that is his single objective."
