Tupai will be free to play again on 10 October |
Northampton's already depleted squad will be stretched even further after flanker Paul Tupai was banned for two weeks by the Rugby Football Union. Tupai's suspension is for picking up three yellow cards this season, against Newcastle, Sale and Gloucester.
He will miss Saints' forthcoming EDF Energy Cup games against Worcester and Newport-Gwent Dragons.
Northampton have already lost hooker Steve Thompson, captain Bruce Reihana and centre Jon Clarke to injuries.
