Sidoli hopes to leave relegated Bristol and stay in top-flight rugby |
Scarlets flanker Gavin Thomas and Bristol's Welsh international lock Robert Sidoli are being linked with moves to Newport Gwent Dragons. Thomas, 31, is being released by the Scarlets at the end of the season and Sidoli, 29, is looking to leave the relegated English club. Dragons boss Paul Turner said: "They are players that we'd be interested in if they were available." Scarlets boss Nigel Davies has also refused to rule out interest in Sidoli. Davies said: "I'm not in a situation to talk about any other players because we will be announcing very shortly... all our signings, and at that point we'll all be aware of where we've been and where we are." Thomas' last Wales appearance came in the 31-0 defeat to Australia in June 2007, while Sidoli last donned a Test jersey in August of the same year, the pre-World Cup 62-5 defeat by England at Twickenham.
