Newcastle Falcons captain Carl Hayman has hailed the club's supporters ahead of Friday's visit of Harlequins to Kingston Park.

The Falcons are without a Premiership win this season following two draws and a defeat.

"Teams don't like coming to Kingston Park, especially on a Friday night," Hayman told the club's website.

"If we can capitalise on that with a big crowd and a good atmosphere then it will really spur the players on."

Newcastle lost 15-6 at Leicester on Saturday, despite not conceding a try.

As players we really value and appreciate the support we receive from everyone here in the North-East

"We know times are tough out there financially for everyone, and the players really want to put in a performance for our supporters because we know how many sacrifices they make to come and cheer us on," Hayman added.

"If we can push on and get a big crowd in on Friday with the big party atmosphere that the night games traditionally have here at Kingston Park, then it's almost like a head start for us.

"As players we really value and appreciate the support we receive from everyone here in the North-East."
