London Wasps have signed England sevens winger Richard Haughton on a two-year deal from Saracens.

The 29-year-old featured 19 times for the Premiership runners-up this season, scoring five tries.

Wasps director of rugby Tony Hanks said: "Richard is a top-quality player, comfortable at wing and full-back."

"His 10 years with Saracens, and his impressive record on the sevens circuit, make him a valuable addition to the squad."

Haughton won a silver medal with the England sevens team in the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and has scored over 100 tries on the IRB World Sevens circuit.

"To have the opportunity to join a club with such quality coaches and players, and to test myself in a different environment sets up a really big season for me - a challenge that I really relish."

Haughton is Wasps' sixth new signing ahead of next season.
