London Irish wing Sailosi Tagicakibau says he always intended on staying with the club despite speculation linking him with a move to France.
The 28-year-old Samoan signed a new four-year contract on Monday.
He told BBC Berkshire: "I've only known London Irish. I've been here for six seasons now and I've enjoyed it.
"There were a lot of rumours going round about different offers here and there, but I've just been speaking to London Irish."
Tagicakibau said he is determined to win some trophies in his next four years, something that, barring the Middlesex Sevens title, has eluded him so far at Irish.
"I have some good memories from my six years here and I'm planning to make some more," he said.
"I have unfinished business in the Premiership - personal goals and goals as a team. I want to win silverware and I now have four years to achieve that."
