Winger Jones on recovery course

Mark Jones
Mark Jones could be back in action four weeks after his surgery

Wales wing Mark Jones is on course to play his part as head coach Warren Gatland takes his Grand Slammers for a tilt at toppling South Africa in June.

Jones has undergone successful surgery on a groin problem and is on course to recover in time to join up with Wales.

Should Jones' rehabilitation stall then rising Cardiff Blues stars Jamie Roberts and Tom James would be in line.

Wales play the first Test on 7 June in Bloemfontein, with the second clash a week later in Pretoria.
