It was feared that James Bater had suffered concussion |
Llanelli Scarlets back-row James Bater should be fit for the Magners League start after taking a bang in Saturday's 19-7 pre-season win over Gloucester. It was thought the former Osprey had suffered concussion, but the knock was not as bad as first feared.
The Scarlets face the Cherry and Whites again this Saturday, when they travel to Gloucester's Kingsholm ground.
Alix Popham, Gavin Thomas, Mark Jones and Matthew Watkins are rested, while Garan Evans has tweaked a hamstring.
Gloucester will be without England back James Simpson-Daniel, who fractured his collarbone against the Scarlets and underwent surgery on Monday.
