George Chuter thrilled with new Leicester Tigers deal

George Chuter
I'm not one just to turn up, take my money and do the bare minimum. I've always been one for pushing as hard as I can

George Chuter

Leicester Tigers hooker George Chuter says he hopes to end his career at Welford Road.

The England forward, 34, is in his 11th season with the club and last week signed a new two-year contract.

"I am enjoying my rugby here as much as I ever have done and can't think I'd be anywhere else to finish my career," Chuter told BBC Radio Leicester.

"Maybe I won't finish it here, who knows. But two years is good for me and I'm looking forward to it."

Chuter, who won his first international cap in 2006, is currently part of the England squad preparing to face Scotland in the Six Nations at Twickenham on Sunday.

He added: "I'm enjoying it and that has always been the key for me.

"I'm not one just to turn up, take my money and do the bare minimum. I've always been one for pushing as hard as I can and you can only do that when you are into the job you're doing and I am fully into it.

"There a good feeling around the club; there are some good young players and there are a few of us old pros knocking about so I think we are in a good position as a club and long may it continue."
