Skivington moved to Leicester Tigers from Wasps in the summer

Leicester Tigers forward George Skivington insists his side will not read too much into Saturday's 24-19 Heineken Cup defeat in Perpignan.

Tigers, who play host to the French side in the return match on Sunday, remain top of Pool 5 after three games.

And Skivington told BBC Radio Leicester his side are "always confident" but admitted: "We have a bit or work to do.

"We probably could've done a bit better and there were a few silly mistakes but there are things to take away."

The Tigers led 9-3 but tries either side of the interval put the hosts in control - although Richard Cockerill's men hit back to secure a bonus point.

Skivington added: "We have to look at what we did wrong and build on what we did right, and hopefully we will expose a couple of weaknesses in them that we can use."
