Leicester Tigers winger Lote Tuqiri says he will be sad to leave Welford Road when he heads home to play rugby league for Wests Tigers in Australia.

After three months with Leicester, Tuqiri will play for the final time against London Irish on Saturday.

He told BBC East Midlands Today: "I didn't think I was going to enjoy it as much as I have.

"I came here expecting it to be cold and wet but I didn't mind the snow. I got out there and went sledging."

He added: "I'll be looking forward to shedding a few layers of clothing but hopefully I'll get some use out of the wellies that I bought."
