Murphy has been awarded a testimonial year

Leicester Tigers full-back Geordan Murphy says that there is a huge desire amongst the players to be crowned European champions.

The Ireland international has won the Heineken Cup twice and told BBC Radio Leicester some of his team-mates cannot wait to experience the same thing.

"It's the premier competition in Europe, if not the world.

"You speak to the guys and they're very jealous of people who get to the final and win it."

The Tigers travel to Perpignan in the Heineken Cup on Sunday, when New Zealand fly-half Dan Carter is expected to make his debut for the French side.
