Brive announced the signing of Goode at a press conference |
England fly-half Andy Goode has joined French club Brive from Leicester Tigers on a two-year contract. Goode, who has the option for an additional year on his deal, will join compatriots Ben Cohen, Steve Thompson and Ben Johnston at the Top 14 club. The 28-year-old has won nine England caps and was earlier this month named in the 32-man England Saxons squad. He made his debut for the Tigers against Cardiff in 1998 and was last season's Premiership top points scorer.
Leicester have already bolstered their fly-half resources for next season with the signing of fellow England international Toby Flood from Newcastle. | 606: DEBATE |
Brive finished 11th in the French Championship last season and are looking to improve for next season with a number of new recruits. The French club have recruited former Tigers scrum-half Christophe Laussucq as their new skills coach during the close season.
