Flanker Kearnan Myall says he is staying at Leeds Carnegie.

The 23-year-old England Saxon has been linked with a summer move to Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints - Leeds' opponents on Saturday.

"It is nice to get that interest from other clubs but my aim is to help Leeds stay up and then help this club move forward," Myall told BBC Radio Leeds.

Academy product Myall, who can also play at lock, has become Leeds' first choice blindside flanker this season.

His form has kept out former England under-20 captain Calum Clark, who has now agreed to join Northampton for next season.

Myall added: "This club has always had huge potential. You only have to look at the players that have come out of our academy and are now playing at other Premiership clubs.

"If we'd retained some of those players then maybe we'd be in a different position now.

"It's vital we stay in the Premiership this season. If we do then it will be a huge achievement and we can build on that. Then I see no reason why we can't be challenging at the top of the table in a few years time."

The former Huddersfield YMCA player has represented England under-18s and also made one appearance for the England Saxons, and is keen to win further honours.

"My aspirations are as high as you can go. I want to play for England; I want to play for the British [and Irish] Lions," he said.

"There are a lot of great players out there, so it's all about really focusing yourself, playing as well as you can and if you get picked, you get picked."
