Flanker Will Skinner has signed a new contract at Harlequins, which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2013/14 season.

The 26-year-old joined Quins from Leicester Tigers in 2006 and has gone on to make 103 appearances.

He told the club website: "The next few years are going to be an exciting era for the club.

"Quins is a fantastic club and we are, as a team, strong and committed to building great things for the club."

Director of rugby Conor O'Shea added: "Will is an outstanding person and player, as well as a natural born leader, and we are delighted that he has committed himself to the club

"His battle with Luke Wallace for the '7' position over the coming years will be an exciting one to watch for all our supporters.

"We have always said we aim to watch this group of players grow and develop together, and Will is integral to that aim in pushing the standards, both on and off the pitch."
