Harlequins have signed Argentine lock Tomas Vallejos from Italian side Parma until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old comes in to replace Jim Evans, who had to retire because of a shoulder injury earlier this season.

Vallejos has played for his country at various age-group levels up until the Under-23 side.

Meanwhile, Evans, 29, who retired last month, has joined the Quins academy coaching staff on a full-time basis until the end of the season.
