Gomarsall left Worcester just one year into a three-year contract |
Harlequins have signed former England scrum-half Andy Gomarsall until the end of the season. Gomarsall, 32, has been without a club since his contract was terminated by Worcester during the summer.
"Andy is a very experienced player in a key position within the team," said Quins director of rugby Dean Richards.
"He will have a big part to play in our Premiership campaign and will further enhance the competition of places within the squad."
Gomarsall, part of England's World Cup-winning squad in 2003, won the last of his 23 caps two years ago against Australia.
He will compete with Steven So'oialo and promising youngster Danny Care for the Quins number nine jersey.
