 Mehrtens has only played one Premiership match for Harlequins |
Harlequins fly-half Andrew Mehrtens will be out of action for six to eight weeks after having a knee operation. The news is a major setback for the Quins, who have yet to win a match on their return to the Premiership and lost 42-23 to Wasps on Sunday.
Mehrtens, who helped Quins to promotion last season, made his Premiership debut for the club in the defeat by Gloucester on 9 September.
The former All Black won 70 caps for New Zealand, scoring 967 points.
