Gloucester centre Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu signs new deal
Fuimaono-Sapolu has won 17 international caps for Samoa
Gloucester's Samoa international centre Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu has signed a two-year contract extension.
Fuimaono-Sapolu joined Gloucester from rivals Bath in the summer, and has started 16 games in all competitions for the Cherry and Whites this season.
He told BBC Gloucestershire: "I had a few other options, in this country and overseas, and I am happy to stay.
"I think the boys are playing well. We struggled early on, and we have crawled through the mud a bit this season."
Fuimaono-Sapolu spent three and a half seasons at Bath after initially joining the club on a short-term contract, and will stay at Kingsholm until at least the end of the 2011/12 season.
He added: "My reason for coming here is not the reason I have stayed.
"I was a bit uncertain this season what I was going to do because of factors off the field, which is why I only signed for one year.
"But now signing for two years gives me a bit more direction."
