Hazell says they must take confidence from the win into the Heineken Cup |
Gloucester flanker Andy Hazell says his side made too many errors in their victory over Leeds in the Premiership. Hazell told BBC Gloucestershire: "The first half didn't go as we expected, mainly down to little things such as knock-ons and dropped balls. "We're working really hard in training. We all want everything to go well but I don't know if we're trying too hard. "The attitude that has been applied is fantastic and I'm confident it will come right." Gloucester start their Heineken Cup campaign at home to the Dragons on Friday night. "We didn't do as well as we wanted to last season, and it's great from a player's point of view to have the Dragons at home first," Hazell said. "There is a bit of confidence building now, we got the win at the weekend and we've got to take that into the Dragons game. "We know Biarritz will be tough for the forwards, and Glasgow have signed a few players for this season and are looking good. "It's going to be a tough competition but we want to go as far as we can."
