Fuimaono-Sapolu played for Bath in the Premiership last season.
Gloucester's Samoan centre Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu is still waiting for a work permit with the Premiership season's opening game a fortnight away.
The 28-year-old had to apply for a new permit after he transferred from Bath.
"I'm really frustrated that there's a delay - I didn't think there should be," he told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
"I hope it isn't delayed another week. I want to be available for the opening game against Bath and I have not had 80 minutes since the Pacific Cup."
Fuimaono-Sapolu meanwhile concedes that the physical side of rugby is not his favourite aspect of the game, but says he is looking forward to the challenges the 2009/2010 Premiership season will bring.
"The only way to stop another player is to put your body in front of them, so you have to be physical," he said.
"If you don't bring physicality to your game then you shouldn't be playing rugby - it's that simple. I hope I'm not stereotyped as that type of player, but I definitely bring it."
