Bedes is Bristol's final signing ahead of next season

Relegated Bristol have signed Cornish Pirates number eight Bertrand Bedes, who has previously played for Montpellier, Toulouse and Narbonne.

The 27-year-old Frenchman has a year's experience of rugby's second tier having moved to Cornwall in May 2008.

"Bertrand will bring a huge presence to the team and will no doubt threaten with his ball-carrying ability," said Bristol head coach Paul Hull.

"He'll compliment our existing back row and bring a new element to the squad."
