Bristol's Ed Barnes had his kicking boots on in France

Bristol eased past Toulon in Pool Two in the European Challenge Cup on Friday but had to endure a spirited second half fight-back from the French side.

The Premiership strugglers led by 14 points at half-time, thanks to scores by Nathan Budgett and Lee Robinson.

But a S�bastien Fauque drop-goal on the hour reduced the deficit to just four.

A late flurry settled the nerves with a Shaun Perry try and a second by Robinson in the dying seconds. Ed Barnes ended with a haul of 13 points.
