Bristol part company with Bracken

Peter Bracken
Bracken has made only two starts for Bristol this season

Bristol have parted company with prop Peter Bracken by mutual consent.

The 31-year-old Irishman joined the West Country side from Wasps in the summer of 2007 on a two-year contract.

But a shoulder injury problem as well as competition from Jason Hobson and Darren Crompton restricted him to just 14 appearances.

"Bracks is a lovely man and a very good player but it hasn't worked out for him here," Bristol coach Richard Hill told the club's website.

"I understand that he has now decided to try to further his career with Harlequins and he goes with our best wishes."
