Bracken has spent two seasons with Wasps |
Bristol have announced the signing of Irish props Peter Bracken and Ray Hogan for next season. Bracken, 29, will join from London Wasps, while the 25-year-old Hogan will move from Connacht.
"What Peter and Ray will bring to the table is experience and know-how," said Bristol coach Richard Hill.
"Both have played European rugby for several seasons now and they're both approaching their peak and can play a big role for us."
Bristol have established themselves at the top of the Premiership with a pack full of veterans like Darren Crompton and Dave Hilton.
But Hill said the time was right to start looking to the future.
"It's all about strength in depth and succession planning. Darren Crompton and Dave Hilton have done a marvellous job for us over the past two seasons," he said.
Bracken joined Wasps from Connacht for the 2005-6 season, played in the Powergen Cup final and won a call up to the Ireland squad that toured Australia and New Zealand.
The Ireland A international said: "Bristol are a very progressive club and it gives me an opportunity to further my career."
Hogan joined Connacht in 2003 and is also an Ireland A international having been capped six times.
He said: "I really enjoyed my time with Connacht and am grateful for all the help I got there over the past few years.
"At this stage, though, I feel I need a new challenge and I am really looking forward to moving to Bristol."
