Boussuge joins Bath from French Top 14 side Montpellier |
Bath have signed France sevens and former Under-21 winger Jacques Boussuge on a one-year deal from Montpellier. The 25-year-old had been at the club during pre-season, scoring two tries in his final trial match. "Jacques has been really solid at training and in the matches and has got some good experience behind him," coach Steve Meehan told the club website. "He has a great attitude and we think he is going to fit in really well with the squad and our ambitions." Boussuge has been a regular on the international sevens circuit for the last five years and was part of the France Under-21 World Cup-winning squad in 2006. | 606: DEBATE |
Bath chief executive Nick Blofeld added: "Jacques has accepted a contract and will be back in Bath in the next few days. "The coaching team believe they can make him into an even better player and build on his existing skills. He's certainly got plenty of pace, and that's something you can't coach. "Attitude goes a long way, and Jacques is massively enthusiastic about playing for Bath."
